Upon stepping out of the Sandy Beach Resort gateway you will find yourself on vibrant Noosa River Foreshore. Take a stroll down Gympie Terrace, home to delicious dining, boutique shopping and beauty spas or cross over to the water front paths and walk, run, skate, scooter or ride all the way from Weyba Drive to the Noosa Marina.

Laze the afternoon away with a picnic or barbecue on the grassy river bank with shady trees and space for the children to play. Or if you’re not satisfied by simply gazing out onto the sparkling river and mesmerising hinterland views, hop on a standup paddle-board, kayak, jet-ski, foil or charter a drive-yourself pontoon boat complete with its own barbecue. There are plenty of rental shops along the waterfront, and there is no better way to soak up the sights and sounds of the foreshore than from the water. For a little luxury hop aboard Noosa’s floating premium event space, the M.V. Catalina for cocktails and good tunes. Or Noosa Ferry offers the perfect family friendly sunset cruise where you can take your own drinks and snacks and learn a little about the history and highlights of the area.

Just a short walk from the resort is the Noosaville Industrial district, a hidden gem for coffee roasters, micro breweries and distilleries, locally made skincare, cafes and bakeries, furniture and homewares, and local design showrooms and markets.

The nearby Thomas Street intersection and Thomas Street itself have some of our favourite places to eat and shop as well as a wellness studio and day spas.

For those with young children there are swings directly across from the resort or the Noosa River Pirate Playground is just a 350 metre walk along the river.

On weekend evenings, join the locals for free live music and takeaway fish and chips on the grassed area surrounding the Boathouse restaurant. And on Sunday mornings take a stroll to the Noosa Farmers Markets, sip on a brewed coffee and pick up some freshly baked pastries for snacking on later at the foreshore.
