Experience one of Australia’s most vibrant destinations for dining, drinking and coming together. At Sandy Beach Resort you are just steps away from the best local restaurants and we’d like to introduce you to our favourite neighbourhood dining spots.

Located on the Thomas Street intersection Frenchies will gastronomically transport you to a Paris bistro, with a menu full of French classics including twice baked cheese souffle, steak frites and warm apple Tatin, complemented by an extensive wine list. Next door is Whisky Boy where the cocktail list deserves serious praise and the cuisine is contemporary with quality Australian beef and fish slowly grilled over fire.

Just around the corner with beautiful river views is 250 Grammi. It’s the familiar authentic Italian dishes that we love here like Vitello Tonnato, along with home made pasta and wood fired pizza.

Further down Gympie Terrace you’ll discover Gusto with it’s charming interior and spacious al fresco dining deck, a place to go if you’re craving delicious European food. The new comer to our area is Bandita, formerly from Mamasita Melbourne, a mexican cantina with a stylish dining room and forward thinking mexican cuisine.

In Noosa there’s now a selection of Asian fusion restaurants and we’re lucky to have our favourite, Sum Yung Guys, just a twenty minute stroll from the resort. The setting at Sum Yung Guys boasts their spirit and passion for Asian cuisine and culture. The menu is an inspiring selection of share plates such as kiang go crispy rice cake with spicy peanut relish and green apple or Thai green curry with smashed prawns, green tomato and eggplant.

Further afield from the resort we enjoy Ricky’s for absolute river front, white table cloth, fine dining. Sails at Noosa Main Beach is an occasion favourite with its beach front location and delicious menu. And Locale Noosa, tucked into a corner of Hastings Street has a moody and elegant atmosphere, spot on service and a menu that will make you return to try more.

Noosa Junction is the lively location locals head to on weekend nights with its more casual dining options. Here you’ll find Light Years, Herbert, Izakaya Ate, Mr Drifter, Haru, Somedays, Atelier and the great bar spot, Nudge Nudge Wink Wink.

Food wise there is much more to discover in Noosa but this is our starting list. Upon making your accommodation reservation with us you will also have access to our digital resort compendium with further dining recommendations.
