Sandy Beach Resort Noosa - Family Holiday Accommodation PAMPERED IN NOOSA

How often do you treat yourself to something really nice? Do you reward yourself with facials or a manicure every so often? When's the last time you had a pedicure, a massage or a long soak in a spa? Have you ever escaped with you friends for the weekend just to get a break from work or the household routine? Do you feel you deserve these simple pleasures of Life?

Ginger Daily and Heather Cross nine-to-five together at an accountancy firm in Brisbane. They eat lunch together most days, finish at the same time day in day out, fight the traffic home and return in the morning at 8:30. Over lunch they usually discuss ways to improve the world, the problems with men, how they'd spend their lotto winnings and frequently the desire for something more out of life. Ginger and Heather are not alone; they are two of the thousands of women caught up in the rat race that need a bit of pampering.

One Monday morning in April Ginger couldn't wait to get to work to share her brainwave with Heather. Over the weekend she read an article about Noosa in the travel section of the Courier. The light came on! Noosa is only an hour and a half from Brisbane but a world away from the City. As if from a dream, Ginger remembered everything about Noosa is welcoming and friendly. The people on the street in casual dress, the friendly shop assistants, happy restaurants staff, and even the bus drivers wear smiles all day long. Although Noosa is as trendy as any place in Australia, it has a small village feel. A three story building height restriction ensures the hotels and resorts blend nicely into the tropical shrubbery. The ambiance is classy yet relaxed rather than snobby. Monday morning Ginger called to Heather from across the car park, "Let's take next Monday off and go to Noosa for a long weekend!"

Hastings Street is mistakenly regarded as 'Noosa' to most that past through. The girls however did their research and booked their accommodation in Noosaville because of its reputation for excellent dining along Gympie Terrace. Gympie Terrace is located along the Noosa River, five minute's drive from Hastings Street. Noosaville is fast becoming the accommodation destination of choice in Noosa with its easy access and close proximity to everything. The laid back / relaxed atmosphere is another bonus.

The rat race escapees stayed at Sandy Beach Resort, one of Noosaville's most attractive small resorts. They enjoyed the classical Queensland architecture nestled into the tropical gardens. Each spacious luxury apartment is fully self-contained with all the bells and whistles. The units include two TVs with Austar, an ensuite off the Master bedroom, private balconies, Video/DVD player, CD players, Direct Dial phones and Broadband Internet connection for travellers with laptops. The resort facilities include two large swimming pools (one heated year-round) a big spa pool, Swedish Sauna, and an excellent covered BBQ area. Heather said "We were surprised how well appointed the apartments were. The spacious living rooms and high ceilings seem to make it easy to relax from the minute you walk in the door."

If truth be told neither of the girls was very productive during the week as they both used much of their time on the internet finding a variety of ways to get pampered over the weekend. Its so easy in Noosa to treat your body to some well deserved nurturing. Ginger and Heather went the whole hog and tried everything from an aroma therapy session to Shiatsu massage. The received hydrating facials, pedicures, eyebrow waxing, even found time to have their hair done. "I was so relaxed after the weekend I could hardly walk. It was better than sex" Ginger declared with an ear to ear smile, "We probably hurt our bank balances but that's what happens when you're having fun."

Heather agreed, "We need to get away more often. Realistically we shouldn't wait to do everything all at once. We should allow ourselves to be pampered a little more often. The weekend was delightful. Noosa is so close we'll come back to again and again. I'm already planning another get-away with our extended circle of friends for November."
